High seas for fishing boats and USCG Mustang

Continuing strong north winds whipped up a frothing bay today. Despite the rough seas, two small fishing boats slammed through the waves to deliver their catch, safe in port. The US Coast Guard Cutter Mustang, also covered in freezing spray, returned home safe. Submitted by Carol Griswold

The US Coast Guard Cutter SPAR arrived in Seward on Friday, and after a short shore leave, including watching the Super Bowl, departed this afternoon.
