Sandhill Cranes!

This evening around 7:30 I heard the joyous bugling of Sandhill Cranes. Looking up, high in the blue sky, I saw an enormous bow of Cranes undulating across the sky. They had flown over the Harding Icefield and Mount Marathon, and kept a steady course heading east over Mt Alice and beyond. Maybe they will fly over Prince William Sound and land near Cordova to refuel for the flight south to California. What a thrilling sight and sound! I counted 345 Cranes in my photo after I got home. Wow!

Watch and listen for more Cranes migrating through!
