Booster Club Golf Tournament was a FUNtastic Time!

The 15th annual Seward High School Booster Club’s Golf Tournament was filled with sunshine, friendship, and best ball golf.  This year’s event raised over $5,100 for the High School’s athletic programs.  With a field of 68 players, a 75-degree sunny day and the Birch Ridge Golf Course in beautiful condition, it made for some fun, competitive play.  This year’s winning team was Nicole Lawrence, Colby Lawrence and Rodney Roemmich shooting 13 under par to take first place.  The second-place team was Clint Draper, Darian Draper, Paula Saindon and Mike Thompson with 10 under par.  The third-place team players were Dan Murphy, Packy Dick, Cliff Draper and Ruth Parker with 9 under par.  The longest drive contest winners were Jeremy Horn and Willow Hetrick Price.  The closest to the pin contest winners were Gene Minden and Kristi Larson.

Helping make this a fun tournament, every team wins a prize.  Thank you to all the sponsors for their continued support:  the Alaska SeaLife Center, Alaska Shop, Breeze Inn Motel, Danlin Construction/ClerkWorks AK, Edward Jones, Exit Glacier Lodging and Salmon Bake, Fifth Avenue Fitness, Kenai Fjords Tours, Major Marine Tours, Odom Corporation, Petro 49, Resurrection Roadhouse/Windsong Lodge, Seward Real Estate, Seward Properties, Spenard Builders Supply, TelAlaska, and Zudy’s.  New sponsors this year were Outage Ouster, Southcentral Equipment Rental, and Ukanuzit.
