First Annual Electronics Recycling Event! Join us May 12

Do you have old electronic devices around the house that you aren’t sure how to dispose of? A box full of old cell phones, cords, and cameras? Old printers, TVs or computer monitors? Now’s your chance to dispose of these things in a safe, environmentally-responsible way! Join the Sustainable Seward group for our first annual Electronics Recycling Event on May 12 at Spenard Builder’s Supply. The event runs from 10am-2pm.

We are asking for a $15 donation for the disposal of large monitors to cover the cost of the recycling process. All other items are free.

Also, we could still use volunteers for this event. If you’d like to help out, the link to the sign-up genius is here:

If you’re interested in reducing waste and improving recycling systems in the Seward area, join Sustainable Seward! Our next meeting is June 6 at 6pm in the Seward Community Library Museum, or email sustainable.seward.ak@gmail.com for more information. Hope to see you Saturday, May 12!
