Community Garden Plots Available – Sign-Up Deadline Approaching!

Members planting starts at Garden by the Bay in Spring 2017.

Interested in gardening, but don’t have space at home?  Looking to get involved in the community and meet new people?  Always wanted to take up gardening, but don’t know where to start? Interested gardeners of all experience levels are invited to become member’s of Seward’s Community Garden by the Bay.

Garden by the Bay will have approximately 8 garden beds available for new members for the 2018 growing season. Interested individuals and community groups are invited to become Garden Members.  If we have more interest than beds available, Members will be selected using a lottery system.  Each Member will receive a raised bed in the new community garden for the 2018 growing season. 3’x12′ and 3’x6′ beds are available.

Annual membership dues for the 2018 season will be $50 for a 3’x12′ and $35 for a 3’x6′ garden bed.  Membership dues go towards liability insurance for the Community Garden.  Members will receive a raised bed and soil for their bed.  Members share responsibility for maintenance of communal areas, on a rotating basis.  Hoses and water are available on-site.  Gardeners are responsible for providing their own tools, seeds/plants and for maintaining their bed (watering, thinning, weeding, harvesting etc.) throughout the growing season.

Interested gardeners should complete the attached electronic entry form no later than Sunday, April 22nd.  One entry per household please! Completing the online entry form is quick and easy:
