City Parking Maintenance Starts April 20 – May 1

Seward Parking department will be closing, cleaning and sweeping City owned, Harbor-area parking lots, beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, April 24 through the rest of this week. Please note the parking closures and move or remove vehicles and park in appropriate locations. Please remove boats, trailers and vehicles from the driving lanes.

Effective May 1, the Center Parking Lot on Fourth Avenue, between Kenai Fjords Tours, Ray’s Waterfront and the Breeze Inn will be enforcing the three-hour maximum in that lot. Ticket, towing or tire-booting may occur for vehicles violating the three-hour maximum.

 

Paid Parking begins Tuesday, May 1 when ticketing and towing begin. Applications for seasonal parking permits are available online at http://www.cityofseward.us/index.aspx?nid=952 for qualifying categories such as Harbor-Area employees, slip-holders and vehicles-with-trailers.

The Parking department will be signing, posting and closing sections of City Harbor area parking lots for cleaning now through May 1. During May, the shoulder-season price of $5 per space is required. Customers may use cash or credit card at the pay stations. Please comply with all requests to move and remove vehicles. Please park in legal, designated parking areas only.
