April 26 history program takes a look at Lowell fishing dories

This month’s “Fourth Thursdays: Our History” program at 7 pm Thursday, April 26 will be a presentation by Dennis McLain, who will share his passion for all things nautical in his program about the reliable Lowell dories. Originally designed for the Gloucester, Mass., fishing fleet, these boats later found widespread use in the Bristol Bay salmon fishery.

Sponsored by Resurrection Bay Historical Society, this program in the Community Room of the Seward Community Library Museum is free and open to the public.
