The Seward State Parks Citizens Advisory Board has noticed an increasing interest in accessibility for all state park users. To help meet the needs of all outdoor enthusiasts, the Board seeks public input on a year-round accessible public use cabin near the lower parking lot at Lowell Point State Recreation Site.
The “Cabin for Everybody” would be on the road system, close to an ADA trail to Lowell Point Beach, with opportunities for beachcombing, wildlife viewing, kayaking, fishing, boating, and water taxi nearby. It would have five single bunks on the first floor with a sleeping loft accessed by a ladder, and be near an existing ADA latrine.
