Paid Parking begins Tuesday May 1

The City of Seward Paid Parking will begin in just over one month on Tuesday, May 1.

Until then, parking remains free, as long as customers follow all posted signs regarding size restrictions, ADA or wheelchair sites and time restrictions. All customers are encouraged to watch for postings for parking lot closures for sweeping and cleaning, prior to May 1. In the near future, information about purchasing parking permits can be found at http://www.cityofseward.us/index.aspx?nid=952.

Effective May 1, daily parking spaces are $5 per space. Customers taking up two spaces, such as with a large RV or with a boat and trailer will pay $10. Applications for parking permits will be available as seasonal staff is hired:

            Harbor Area Employee:                     $50

            Slip Holder:                                        $50

            Vehicle with Trailer:                          $200

            Visitor:                                                $100

            Commercial Vehicle:                         $350

            Service Vehicle, by review only:       $200
