Teen Rec Room (TRR)

Arts & Crafts: Boys and girls, alike, are harnessing their inner artist with friendship bracelets, wonderloom, and water colors!

Rock Wall: RW participation is on the climb and continues to help several children in the Seward community break beyond personal barriers. We invite all TRR participants to partake, and have recently sought out our Seaview teens to do the same! RW has proven to be an excellent tool to teach communication skills, build confidence, and foster camaraderie amongst the youth!

Indoor Activity: We’ve recently purchased a wide array of foam, plastic, and indoor-friendly toys that keep the kiddos moving, and are conducive to indoor usage while the weather continues to warm up! They regularly work on hand-eye coordination and are perfecting their form with Frisbee, football, and the basket-ball toss! Friendly competition for the win!

ASLC: A group of TRR participants adventured down the road to the ASLC where they enjoyed up close & personal views of Alaskan marine life! Our pairing of education and recreation was pleasing to those who elected to go!

Only participants with signed waiver/releases are welcomed to join teen Rec Room (TRR) or Teen & Youth Center (TYC) programs and activities. We thank you for your cooperation. Please ask staff to review if you are unsure if you have a current waiver on file. Waivers are available at all Parks & Rec sites and online at We are active; we play hard, so we need your waiver/release. SPRD staff is happy to assist families in completing waiver/releases.

Come hang out with us!
