Charles Glenn Forrest

Charles Glenn Forrest passed away at Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond, Kentucky on February 6, 2018 at the age of 67 due to a heart attack.

Charlie is predeceased by his father, Owen Forrest, his mother, Inez Lacy Forrest, and his brother, Robert Forrest.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Judy, of 28 years. They were married in Seward, Alaska on July 14, 1990.

Charlie is lovingly remembered by daughter, Victoria Lemiuex and husband, Roland of Manassas, Virginia, daughter, Stephanie McKinney of Austin, Texas, son Wesley Samford of Huntington, Texas, daughter Michelle Wilson and husband, Earl of Cusseta, Georgia, daughter Shirley Lewis and husband, Danny of Berea, Kentucky, daughter, Tonya Cunningham of Anchorage, Alaska, son, Isaac Gibson and wife, Lauren of Burlington, North Carolina, brother James Forrest and wife, Jim of Huntington, Texas, sister, Dell Morehead of Huntington, Texas, sister, Nell Settle of Lufkin, Texas, and sister, Linda Pinner and husband, Henry of Nederland, Texas, granddaughter Ashley Wilson of Cusseta, Georgia, granddaughter Amber Taylor and husband, Bill of Cusseta, Georgia, grandson Shaun Lewis and fiancé Magan of Richmond, Kentucky, grandson Devin Lewis of Berea, Kentucky, grandson Jordan Forrest of Austin, Texas, granddaughter, Tori Barton of Austin, Texas, grandson, Preston Cunningham of Anchorage, Alaska, granddaughter, Ali Gibson of Burlington, North Carolina, grandson Eli Gibson of Burlington, North Carolina, grandson Cory Samford of Boston, Massachusetts, two great grandchildren Little Bill and Kyle, and many loving, nieces, nephews, and extended family. 

Charlie was born in Lufkin, Texas on November 2, 1950. He graduated from Huntington High School in 1969. He worked as a senior diesel mechanic in Seward, Alaska for many years. Charlie and Judy retired to Mt. Vernon, Kentucky in 2014.

Charlie enjoyed fishing, hunting, canoeing, bowling, playing guitar, and tinkering with all sorts of things. He loved dogs, horses and animals of all kinds.

The visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, 237 N 2nd St., Richmond, Kentucky on Saturday, February 10th, 2018 from 1:00 until 4:00 pm.
