SOCKTOBER Collection for Brother Francis Shelter and Covenant House

Pastor Jim Doepken and Father Bill Hanrahan stand with some of the 414 new pairs of socks collected to support the homeless ministries at Anchorage’s Brother Francis Shelter and Covenant House. The socks were given by members of the United Methodist Churches of Seward and Moose Pass and the Catholic Churches of Seward and Cooper Landing throughout the month of October.

Socks are some of the most requested and least donated items in shelters across the United States. If your church or organization or business would like to participate in a “Socktober Sock Drive” please let Pastor Jim Doepken know ( Socks must be new.
