Seaview Community Services Welcomes Giovanna Atkins

Giovanna Atkins

Seaview Community Services is pleased to welcome Giovanna Atkins as its new Behavioral Health Directing Clinician.

Born and raised in Palo Alto, California, Giovanna and her husband escaped the big city and have lived in Alaska for the past seven years. Giovanna received her Master’s Degree in Social Work in 1996 from Sacramento State University. She has worked as a Victim Advocate for the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, a counselor in juvenile corrections, and a mental health/substance abuse clinician for the North Slope Borough. Her areas of expertise include substance abuse, trauma, and sexual assault. Giovanna is excited about sharing the recovery process and helping others find their way to a new life in sobriety.
