Presence Bissonette lost her life early Saturday morning on Oct. 14th in a car accident on the Seward Highway. The loss of this dear young woman has shaken our community. Words fail to express the sorrow of the many people whose lives she touched while in Seward and throughout her life.
All are invited to a funeral service for Presence Bissonette on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 2pm at the American Legion Cemetery behind the Chamber of Commerce.
A gathering will be held in the Community Room of the Seward Community Library & Museum following the service.
In the days since the death of my dear wife Presence, people from all over the world whose lives she has touched, have reached out to me with condolences and wanting to honor her. In lieu of flowers, those that wish to, should consider a small donation in her honor to the things she loved:
- Alaska SeaLife Center
- Seward Community Library
- Veteran’s Organizations, such as the Wounded Warrior Project
The Sea Life Center, being a place where she volunteered her time, the library, being the job she so loved. The veterans, because she had served our country, and was still serving as she was on her way to drill, when we all lost her.
