A Magical Night of Latin American Inspired Music and Food April 25th

Join us Tuesday, April 25th for an enjoyable evening of Latin American inspired music by Cascada de Flores (hailing all the way from California), and delicious south of the border fare by Chef Eric Slater!  Our benefit dinner raises critical dollars to bring professional performances to Seward schools.  You will enjoy a beautiful evening of food, music, and fun at Seward Brewing Company.  This event is a private gathering for 100 lucky ticket holders and is sure to shake off those winter chills!   Water and ice tea are included with dinner, and for your pleasure, there will be a no-host bar available. After a delicious meal, we will move upstairs to concert seating for two 45-minute halves with a 20-minute intermission. A ticket is required for all ages.

Doors Open at 5:30 pm
No Host Bar 5:30 pm - 8:45 pm
Dinner Buffet 6 pm - 7 pm
Concert begins at 7:15 pm

About the Artists

 specializes in achingly beautiful songs from Latin America’s golden age, including bolero to fill your heart to bursting, rancheras to break it and guarachas to make you want to jump up and dance. Your ears will be filled with the alluring voice of Arwen Lawrence, the delicate playing of guitar and vocals by Jorge Liceaga, accompanied by the strings of the bass and violin. Cascada de Flores offers an evening of song, zapateado (foot stomping) and nostalgia, peppered with a bit of creative Mexican humor In concert. Your ticket purchase sponsors five separate performances for Seward youth and elders that include: A K-5 “The Tree and the Donkey who loved to sing” AKA “El Abuelo” A bilingual and participatory story exploding with the song, ancient musical instruments, poly-rhythms and sweet characters of Mexican music and dance.  A 6th – 12th grade Musical Concert that includes music and traditions of the Mexico, the Carribean and beyond.  A pre-School Story Hour of “The Tree and the Donkey who loved to sing” AKA “El Abuelo.”  A 30-minute Performance for our elders at Seward Mountain Haven, and a FREE Community Workshop – Look for an announcement!
