This Friday at the Movies!

The Seward Winter Family Movie Series is back for a second season! Presented by the Seward Arts Council, the Movie Series features newer, feature films with a goal of providing safe and family friendly events in Seward during the winter months when there are limited opportunities for activities that the whole community can participate in. Two movies are shown each Friday- an earlier family-friendly movie (G/PG rated) and a later movie for young adults & community members (PG-13/R). Movies will be shown at the UAF auditorium in the K.M. Rae building here in Seward (at the corner of Third Ave. and Railway Ave.).

This week at the Movies we’ll start the night off with Disney’s Alice Through the Looking Glass (PG – 1hr 53min) at 6pm followed by Captain Fantastic (R – 1 hr 58min) at 8:30 pm. Admission is $2/person and tickets go on sale 30 minutes before showtime. Concessions will be provided by Seward Prevention Coalition.

Note: Our 8:30 Showing, Captain Fantastic is Rated R.  Minors under 17 will only be permitted with a parent or guardian present or with a written note signed by a parent or guardian.

Thank you to our Partners in presenting the series: The Seward Prevention Coalition, Seward Wellness for All, and Seward Community Foundation!!!

If you are interested in becoming more involved with the Movie Series, please check out our Facebook group (Skip and Marie Fletcher Winter Family Movie Series) or send us a message at sewardalaskamovies@gmail.com. We are an all-volunteer organization and need financial and volunteer support to make this a great event! Community members may also show their support through individual donations made using the Movie Series’ GO FUND ME page: https://www.gofundme.com/201617-seward-winter-movie-series-2up554dz
