Seward Strong Planning Day is November 1st

Join us for the First Annual Seward Strong Planning Day at the Breeze Inn’s Conference Rooms on November 1st from 8:30 to 4:00.  Seward Strong is a community driven process to identify and address health and wellness needs in our community.  Community members are invited to share their ideas and compete for $2,000 in kick-starter funds to make it a reality.

The process is modeled after the Sitka Health Summit which just held its tenth planning day in Sitka.  A few successful initiatives to come out of the Sitka Health Summit are a farmers market, a fish to schools program,  a downtown revitalization project, and a DVSA Choose Respect Mural.  These are examples of initiatives we may see at Seward Strong but it all depends on you, the community member, to take part in the process and help improve the health and wellness of our community.

Community members of Seward and its surrounding areas are invited to attend the Seward strong Planning Day.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided as well as morning and afternoon snacks.   Attendance is free but we ask that you preregister at  If you have any questions or comments please contact Ann Linville at
