On Tuesday, OCTOBER 4 TH Seward Voters will be asked to approve a 3 Million Dollar Bond Issue for paving roads in Seward during the 2017 Construction Season. Federal and State funding is available for 75% of the initial project which has been on the table for years. Our roads are in terrible condition and littered with POTHOLES.
The Bond Issue is for the remaining 25% of the original project plus additional paving on the road leading to Mountain Haven (Long Term Care Facility) and the Seward Portion of Dieckgraeff Road (leading to the transfer station).
The Contractors, their equipment, and the paving Batch Plant, will all be on site for the initial paving project which will make it much more COST EFFECTIVE. The initial re-paving project (25%) plus the planned additional paving is what is covered in the 3 Million Dollar Bond Issue.
PLEASE SUPPORT THIS BOND ISSUE WITH A YES VOTE ON OCTOBER 4 TH
