Seward High School’s Daily Announcements April 22, 2016

  • Good luck to our track and field team as they go to Kenai to compete today and tomorrow.  Also, this afternoon our soccer teams compete at home against Wasilla.  Games start at 3pm.  Tomorrow they take on Voznesenka starting at 11am.  Come on out to cheer on the Seahawks!

  • In honor of Earth Day we will be going outside to care for the earth.   Students will collect their coats from their lockers, and/or get breakfast and return to their classes.  Mr. Walker will release students, via the intercom, at 9:40.  Downstairs classes will work the northeast and southeast to the extent of our trail system.  Upstairs classes will work the northwest and southwest to the extent of our tail system and/or traffic pattern (to the south).  There is a dumpster outside of Mr. Hemstock’s shop for the downstairs classes and a dumpster outside the landing of the cafeteria for the upstairs classes.  Classes need to return by 10:05 for the passing period to third.

  • Prom will be tomorrow, Saturday, April 23rd  from 8-11pm. The theme is Sunset Beach and prom will be held aboard a Major Marine Tours boat that goes to Thumb Cove.  Please be ready to board the Star of the Northwest at 7:45pm.  The boat is located on Dock E, down the ramp just left of the Kenai Fjords Tours building, and leaves at 8:00pm. It will not wait for those who are late.

  • Interested in making musical instruments from recycled and salvaged materials?  There will be a Found Sound workshop after school on Wednesday, April 27th.  Please sign up in the office if you are interested.  Students and staff are welcome.
