Pat Williams’ birthday party is Oct. 20

PatWilliamsYou’re invited to join in the celebration of what would have been Pat Williams’ 105th birthday. There will be a potluck birthday party from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20 in the Community Room of the Seward Community Library and Museum at 239 Sixth Avenue.

Although Pat Williams died in her sleep on Sept. 18, friends and family want to honor her long and productive life with a birthday party.

Cake, punch, coffee, tea, plates and cutlery will be provided. Those who attend are asked to bring a food item to share for the potluck, along with a photo of Pat or a piece of memorabilia. There will be an informal “story hour” where people will be able to take their turn at the podium to tell a story or a joke about our favorite community matriarch.

Afterward, there will be a bonfire on the waterfront across from Pat Williams Park. Folks will have a chance to give a toast to our very dear friend who was a tireless advocate for all things Seward. Dress warmly, bring a camp chair and gather around the Pat Williams sign across from the RV dump station at the intersection of B Street and Ballaine Boulevard.

Contact Kristi Larson, 224-5272, or Colleen Kelly, 224-3589, if you have questions.
