It’s not too late! You, too, can participate in raising awareness about the problem of hunger around the world and here in Seward, by participating in the annual Seward CROP Walk! The Walk takes off from the front of the SeaLife Center this coming Sunday, Sept. 7th, at 2 pm. You do not have to raise money for this (though a contribution is appreciated!). Just come on Sunday, register (if you have not already done so), and walk with everyone else along the length of the “Bike Path”. (We’ve requested another nice Fall day for this!) 25% of all funds contributed at the walk or on-line will come back to Seward for our local Food Pantry – He Will Provide, Inc. – and the rest goes to hunger needs world-wide, through Church World Service. For more info, call the Coordinator, Pastor Ron Nitz, at 224-3628, or go on-line to www.cwsglobal.org and search for the 2014 Seward, AK, CROP Walk.
