You’re invited to Founders’ Day

Celebrate the anniversary of Seward’s founding at the open house from 3-5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28 at the Seward Community Library Museum on the corner of Sixth and Adams.

The Resurrection Bay Historical Society will serve cake and light refreshments at this annual event that recalls the establishment of a railroad town at the head of Resurrection Bay on Aug. 28, 1903.

There will be free admission all day at the museum, and Sue McClure will play music from 3-5 p.m. on an organ once used by the Christian Science Church in Seward.
