Exceptional Year for Alaska SeaLife Center’s Wildlife Rescue Run

tuffyThe Alaska SeaLife Center would like to thank all participants and sponsors of this year’s 5K Wildlife Rescue Run and SeaFest Weekend.   It was the most successful year to date for the Rescue Run, bringing in a record number of participants and raising more than $4,600. The fundraiser supports the rescue and rehabilitation mission of ASLC’s Wildlife Response Program.   The Wildlife Response Program is funded entirely through private donations and fundraisers like the Rescue Run and annual Mini Golf Tournament at the Center.    The money raised goes directly towards animal care and veterinary costs for stranded seals, sea otters, and other marine animals rescued throughout the year.

First place male and female were Chris Towle and Patty Foldager.  Chris Towle took the overall 1st place title with a time of 16.57 minutes. Patty Foldager came in 1st for the women with a time of 22.4 minutes.  For a full list of race results, click here.

Sign up online by August 31 to be entered to win 25,000 Alaska Airline miles courtesy of GCI. All virtual run registrants will receive a gift in the mail.
