Stevens Puppets perform at the Library

Dan and Zan Raynor of Stevens Puppets and Rachel James of the Seward Community Library Museum begin the show with appreciation towards their sponsors

On Friday night  kids, parents, grandparents, and even a great-grandparent filled the Seward Community Library community room in anticipation as Dan and Zan Raynor of Steven Puppets presented their marionette show, “Beauty and the Beast”. Stevens Puppets performed their show with colorful, handmade puppets, humorous puppeteers, happy kids and laughing adults. Many hope that they will be able to return again next year.

This event was sponsored by the Seward Community Library Association and lodging was provided by the Hotel Seward.  Administered by the Alaska State Council on the Arts, funds were provided by the Rasmuson Foundation’s Harper Arts Touring Fund and federal funds were provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
