Legends Restaurant Building Up for Auction

Former Seward’s Legends Restaurant Up for Auction

 The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has started an online auction to sell the former Legends Restaurant in downtown Seward. GSA will host an open house on Friday, July 11 from 1 – 4 p.m. AKDT and Saturday, July 12 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. AKDT.

The two story, 7,000+ square foot property, located at 412 Washington Street, is on a 120 ft by 100 ft commercial lot with available off-street parking, Constructed in 1985, the property was used as the Legends restaurant, bar and banquet hall before it was purchased by the National Park Service. The property is one block from Resurrection Bay in the downtown business core.


The Invitation for Bids is available at GSA’s auction website at (see “commercial” properties in Alaska).  The minimum bid is $50,000.

The starting bid amount does not represent the value of the property, but rather provides a reasonable starting point for the online auction.
