This Week at the Seward Senior Center….

Spring is in the air and summer is just around the corner!  The center is preparing for it’s annual Summer Plant sale and is seeking donations of disposable cups, plant trays, and cottage cheese and yogurt containers.  On Tuesday, April 22nd join us at 10am to plant seedlings.  Funds from the sale will benefit the senior nutrition program.  On a final note about the plant sale, the center would like to extend a thank you to ACE Hardware and Marine for their donation of soil.

On Wednesday, April 16th at 12:15pm Amber St. Amand will join us during the lunch hour to discuss diet and nutrition.  Amber always has an interesting topic and is very informative, so come join her discussion.  Compassionate Foot Care is being offered on Friday, April 18th from 9am-12pm.  This is a first come, first served service so please arrive early to secure your appointment.

To celebrate Older Americans Month in May the center will be hosting many fun and exciting games and activities.  One of those activities will be the popular Grey Whale Watch Tour sponsored by Major Marine Tours.  The tour date is Friday, May 9th.  Tickets are $39, available only through Seward Senior Center, and are only offered for May 9th.  To purchase your tickets, or for more information, please contact Anna or Dana at 224-5604.
