The Seward Tsunami Swim Club wishes to thank our community for the wonderful support you continue to show for our Seward youth. STSC has a steady census of fifty swimmers each season that work to their personal best in the pool. That means we have dedicated parents that give of their time and energies to the swim program as well.
While swim fees cover only one third of the annual cost of the STSC program, the rest of the operating funds come from Swim-a-Thon each year. It is vital to the survival of our program in Seward. STSC is able to operate with three contract USA Swimming, coach certified, staff. Our coaches are on deck starting after school each day November to May. We are able to cover pool fees and life guard fees as well as maintain our USA Swimming, Inc status as a swim club and a 501c3 non-profit.
Tsunami’s still have a swim meet this weekend in Kenai, Sprint Champs, they will be attending with 37 swimmers and all three coaches. On April 24th STSC swimmers, with qualifying times, will be at the Alaska Junior Olympics at the Bartlett pool. Our swim season ends May 4th with an end of season banquet where the prizes will be given for Swim-a-Thon participation.
We wish to give special thanks to Seward Subway, the Alaska Sealife Center and all our great local sponsors who have helped us this season. See our website where company logos with links to their website are located on the home page lower left side. STSC Website
