The whole community is encouraged to cheer on the hundreds of participants on Saturday morning from 11 am to about 1:30 pm as the runners and bikers hit the bike paths and streets of Seward from the High School to the Lagoon, up and over Dairy Hill, around the Iditarod Mile Zero, then back along Ballaine Boulevard past the Alaska SeaLife Center and back to the school. Each year our participants tell us how nice it is to have the locals cheering for them along the course.
