Lemonade Day Alaska Kicks off its 4th year in Alaska!
Lemonade Day Alaska teaches kids about starting a business, but also about the importance of financial literacy and giving back to the community. Program participants are allowed to keep all of the money they raise from operations, but are encouraged to “spend a little, save a little, and share a little with their community”.
Lemonade Day Alaska recognizes that the leaders of tomorrow are shaped by the actions of today.
Lemonade Day first came to Alaska in 2011. Now in its fourth year, Lemonade Day Alaska has grown from 1,000 participants in its first year to an anticipated 3,800 registered youth statewide this spring. With generous support from Wells Fargo, Fred Meyer, the Matsu Frontiersman, the Anchorage Daily news, the Alaska Dispatch and others, Lemonade Day Alaska is ready for 2014 to be the most exciting Lemonade Day yet!
Saturday, June 14, 2014 – go out and support participating youth in your community!
