Congratulations, Ashley!

The KBEA Scholarship Committee has selected three scholarship recipients. Each of the following students will receive $500 to use for their education:

Ashley von Borstel, Seward High School – Ashley plans to attend University of Alaska in Fairbanks majoring in Biology. She hopes to go on to veterinary school.

Justice English, Kenai Central High School – Justice plans to attend Azusa Pacific University in California. She plans on receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and pursue employment in the fitness field.


Brittany Hollers, Skyview High School – Brittany will be attending the University of Alaska – Kenai Peninsula College. She would like to pursue getting a Bachelor’s degree followed by a career in dental hygiene.

Students are selected not only upon their academic achievement, but also upon their extracurricular activities, community involvement, work experience, personal references, essay and financial plan. The committee looks for students who are well-rounded good citizens with great potential.
