Two Evenings of Alaska History this Week at Library Museum

Please join us for two special events at Seward Community Library Museum.  Both events will take place in the Community Room.

Thursday, March 27th at 5:00 – 7:00 pm – 50th Anniversary of the Alaska Earthquake Commemoration

A community remembrance with personal stories & a short film. Free admission to the museum from 1–7pm featuring an updated ’64 Earthquake exhibit. Refreshments will be provided.

Friday, March 28th at 7:00 pm – Author Program with Walter Stahr 


New York Times bestselling author of “Seward: Lincoln’s Indispensable Man,” Walter Stahr, will discuss his book and research of William H. Seward and Alaska.

Selected as one of the Best Books of 2012 by the Seattle Times and described as a “…monumental biography of Lincoln’s secretary of state is impeccably researched and written in an engaging manner that keeps the pages turning easily.”
