Tsunami Swim-a-Thon is coming!

Super Tsunami's at Age Groups Meet in Fairbanks

Super Tsunami’s at Age Groups Meet in Fairbanks

Tsunami’s have only days left to reach out and find their sponsors/pledges for Swim-a-Thon and many young swimmers have been working up their endurance to try for the 200 lengths limit during the two hour swim time. The event will be March 28, at the Seward pool.

STSC has been providing an aquatic swim program in Seward for over 20 years and many of our Seward community are alumni of the Seward Tsunami swim program. STSC’s aquatic program is the only sport in Seward that combines ages 5 to 18 into one group. The program promotes healthy exercise, team building, swim skills in all the strokes, sportsmanship and they have fun!

Each year the Tsunami’s conduct one fund raising event to supplement their program needs. The funds acquired through the USA Swimming Swim-a-Thon help keep our monthly fees to our families low, enable limited scholarships, help fund the pool time, equipment and help pay our hard working coaching staff that are contracted each swim season to work with our swimmers.

If you are interested in helping us, go to our website and donate online, or you can mail a donation to: STSC, PO Box 2328, Seward AK 99664.

All of our swimmers (53 registered) will be swimming on March 28th after school at the pool for two straight hours. Community is welcome to stop in. We will have a pizza party for the swimmers afterwards.

The Seward Tsunami’s have been swimming during Spring Break and resume their regular swim times today (Monday March 17th) as students are back in school.

STSC is a 501(c)3 Not for profit, operated by a volunteer, non-paid, parent board.

We wish you all a Happy St. Patricks Day!
