Correction to the notice sent out yesterday:
The City of Seward will NOT be publicly opening any Request For Proposals submitted for the electrical engineering services for the generator relocation portion of the Seward Power Plan Integration Project. This notice was sent in error. While bids are required to be opened publicly, City Code states regarding Request For Proposals, the register and proposals are only public after a notice of intent to award has been issued by the city. This is to avoid disclosing any contents to a competing proposer during the process of negotiation.
We apologize for this error and please feel free to contact the Office of the City Clerk if you have any questions or concerns.
On Monday, March 10, 2014 at 3:00 PM, City of Seward Electric Department staff will open the proposals submitted for engineering services in support of the electrical engineering for the generator relocation portion of the Seward Power Plant Integration project (AEA Grant #791001).
All persons interested are welcome to attend. The opening will take place in the City Council Chambers, located at 410 Adams Street in Seward, Alaska.
