Tereah Leigh Henry, 49, passed away on February 3, 2014 after a long 6 years of battling cancer. She was born in Tallahassee, Florida on September 22, 1964, and became a resident of Alaska in 2007. Tereah lived in Seward, Alaska where she worked for the Three Bears Gro., and Legion.
Tereah had a positive outlook on life and had more will to live than anyone we know. She had a positive attitude no matter what hand she was dealt. She was sunshine with her smile and humorous character, and fit in perfectly in Seward for the past 9 years. Tereah had a gift for gab and was always kind to everyone. She made time to listen to other peoples’ problems and put them before her own. She loved sunflowers because she was a flower herself. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
Special thanks to Ike for caring for her these past months; she loved you.
Tereah is survived by her daughters Adrianne and Sabra Leigh White; mother and step-father Dorothy Haight and Larry D. Bashant; father Robert John Haight; sister Sharon Denise Haight; brothers John Cassidy and Robert “Bobby” Haight; grandmother Tina Porter Gunn; and a great number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are with Janssen’s Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
