Guitarist Danny Booth and fiddle player Amanda Kerr will hold a workshop for aspiring musicians on Saturday March 8 from 10 am – 12 noon. The first hour will be spent in separate groups, one group working on guitar skills and the other on fiddle. During the second hour, the two groups will come together to learn about accompanying, jamming, and playing together. The workshop is aimed at intermediate players who already know the basics of how to get around on their instrument. Both Danny and Amanda are award-winning musicians and experienced instructors. Danny is currently the bass player in professional bluegrass band Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen.
Cost will be $25 per person and spaces are limited. Contact Jim Pfeiffenberger at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 362-7841 with questions or to reserve your spot.
Danny and Amanda will also be performing as a duo on Friday night, March 7 at the Resurrect Art Coffeehouse at 8 pm.
