ASAA/First National Bank Alaska 2013 Swimming & Diving State Championships in Juneau

 The Seward Seahawk swim team arrived in Juneau last night to attend the ASAA/First National Bank Alaska 2013 Swimming & Diving State Championships.  The Juneau Empire is calling it the largest gathering of athletes to go to Juneau since the 2012 Southeast Alaska Age Groups Championships.   The Empire states that about 270 swimmers, plus their coaches, parents and fans have come to the State’s capital for this meet.  The meet is being held at the Dimond Park Aquatic Center here in Juneau, operated by the cities Parks and Recreation. http://www.juneau.org/parkrec/DimondPark/

 Swim coach Matt Hersock and his swimmers have arrived and are starting their warms up at this time.  The meet starts today (Friday, November 8, 2013) at 10:10 a.m. with the national anthem.  The full swim schedule has been printed in the Juneau Empire and can be viewed at their online site.
