Are you over the age of 60, finding it difficult to shop, cook and clean up following a meal or don’t have anyone to prepare a noon time meal for you? At the Seward Senior Center, we want to help you meet your nutritional needs, five days a week.
The meals on wheels program provide the Seward elder with 1/3 of the USDA recommended daily allowance, with a variety of fresh and whole foods, and an enticing heart healthy menu that will capture your taste buds. Please contact us at 224-5604 to start receiving hot meals tomorrow, to inquire about a loved one, or an aging neighbor.
We want to help preserve your energy and activities by providing you with a good and nutritious meal. The senior center provides our community of elders the opportunity to receive a hot meal, five days a week, at the convenience of their front door, thanks to financial partners of the Older Americans Act, City of Seward, State of Alaska and the Kenai Peninsula Borough.
If you are 60 and older, active, working, or retired, we offer you one of the finest dining experiences in Seward with a million dollar view, salad bar and a daily hot entrée, all for an asking price of a free will donation of $5.00. No one is turned away due to lack of funds, but encouraged to participate in the dining services to meet new friends, learn new skills at one of the multiple classes offered before or after lunch service. We look forward to meeting you soon.
