That’s right. You do not want to miss the chance to partake in tasting some of the fabulous homemade desserts that are offered at the annual St. Peter’s Episcopal Church’s Dessert Extravaganza, this Sunday, October 13, 2013 between 1-4 p.m.
Where: Community Room of the Library/Museum Bldg., corner of 6th & Adams.
We are blessed to have so many of our local merchants donate merchandise for this annual event. Not to be outdone, members of this community have donated all sorts of exciting and useful things plus homemade desserts.
Have you yet signed up to donate your time, dessert or auction items? There is still time. You can still donate by bringing your merchandise to church no later than Friday evening during the Work Session. Your help is also needed to cull, catalog & price auction items on Wednesday between 5-7 pm and on Friday 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
Bringing a dessert? You may drop it off between 12 noon & 12:30 in the Community Room at the Library/Museum Bldg. Call Chr. Lisa W., 362-2070.
In between munching on these scrumptous, death-defying desserts, you will have the opportunity to place your name on any number of items that are going to be gracing the tables for the Silent Auction.
Then comes the Live Auction. Our own Ron Long will be auctioning all sorts of useful items that you will be able to use for personal use, your home, car or as gifts.
This community fundraiser is for the preservation and upkeep of historic St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. Most everyone is aware that this is the oldest church in Seward in continuous use.
If you would like to help but can’t be here for this gala event, you may send your donation to: St. Peter’s Episcopal, P.O. Box 676, Seward, AK 99664. Designate it for Save St. Peter’s Fund.
