Marjorie “ Marge” Ann Thompson passed away on September 11, 2013 due to complications of colon cancer. She was surrounded by family and friends as she went to visit her mother, her father and her sister. They are all together watching over us.
Marge was born, Marjorie Ann DeWitt, in Corona, CA on September 13, 1929to Lloyd and Doris DeWitt.
Marge lived and adventurous life. She spent 40 years in Alaska. During that time, she worked in Seward and then helped operate Susitna Lodge on the Denali Highway. In 1975, Marge moved to Rocklin, CA where she lived for 30years and owned and operated her own real estate business. In 2011, Marge moved to Boise, ID. Here she spent many hours making quilts and teaching other people how to make quilts. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Marge is survived by her daughters – Jennifer Kelly and Janice Thompson; son – Mark Thompson; Brother and sister –in-law – David and Joyce DeWitt; Brother-in-law – James Brown; Step sons – Lee and Denny Thompson; Grandchildren, – Lisa Thompson and Ian Edmonson, Alicia and Alex Encoyand, Makayla Thompson, Dawn Thompson, Brandon Thompson, Sean Kelly, Nathan Thompson; and Great Grandchildren – Elizabeth, Ashby and Rachel Encoyand, Ashlyn and Corbin Edmonson.
Marge was a very dynamic and exciting lady. Her energy for life and love of people will be very much missed. Her friends and family love her with all our heart.
A celebration of life and placing of the ashes has not been determined.
