  1. It would be great to see a plaque for Emmit at the Seward Mariners’ Memorial.

  2. Emmit Hill was one of those unsung heros who helped more people than anyone will ever know. He was a Seward lifer and managed to make it through all of Sewards ups and downs for a lifetime like his father Delbert did before him. And because of his business was used by everyone sooner or later it was at the crossroads of story telling and he could tell you things few people remeber today. From fleeing the tidal waves of the 1964 earthquake to sneaking into the girl’s dorm at the Jesse Lee home his adventures and stories brought a bit of much needed joy and real history to the community. RIP Oldtimer!

  3. And don’t forget…running through the tunnels on Halloween; hitting the sides with a stick and scaring the bageebies out of the folks above. Loved that story!
