The Seward Planning & Zoning Commission is having a special meeting tonight,
Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers.
Under New Business the P&Z has a resolution supporting the construction of an Electric Department Warehouse at 605 Sea Lion Avenue in Forest Acres, below and across the street from Seward Elementary School. The resolution before P&Z includes the relocation of the City water well drainage ditch and pedestrian pathway on City owned Lot 6A-2, Fort Raymond Subdivision No. 3 and the construction of the connecting public sidewalk; all located at 605 Sea Lion Avenue within the Institutional Zoning District.
The plan for the warehouse, and all supporting documents are not currently available in the meeting packet, and there is no public hearing planned for this action. Those interested in assuring that the plan made is in the best interest of the children walking in the area, or traffic concerns of people bringing children to school in the area, may want to attend and help advise P&Z in making this important decision.
