Scheffler Creek observation platform completed

The brand new Scheffler Creek observation platform just off the bike path north of the pedestrian bridge  is now completed and open for use. Two educational interpretive signs have been installed; one depicts the extensive habitat restoration project, the other features the five salmon species that can be found in Scheffler Creek and its tributaries.

This project was made possible by the generous contributions and volunteer support by the Resurrection Bay Conservation Alliance,  Americorps Alaska, Kenai Fjords National Park, the Seward Chamber of Commerce, the City of Seward, the Seward Community Foundation, and USFW Services.

Check out the platform, signs, and Scheffler Creek throughout the year. There’s always something interesting happening there!
