NYO in Seward Through Sunday!
The 3rd annual Seward Native Youth Olympic Invitational runs Friday March 21 through Sunday, the 24th at Seward High School gym. The invitational is sponsored by the Qutekcak Native Tribe, with training provided by Melanee Stevens. NYO teams from throughout the region will be here. The opening ceremony is at 5:00 p.m. Friday.
Come out and check out these athletes performing amazing feats of strength and agility each day, and watch the King Island Dancers perform at 1:00 p.m. Saturday. Cheer on Seward’s NYO Junior and Senior athletes of all ages, and their visitors, and some alumni as including their Assistant Coach James Wardlow, who is well known in NYO circles for his high kicks.
Here’s a sample from some Seward NYO athletes performing events that you might see if you come out.
