jumping to conclusions doesn’t kill an innocent man whose life was stolen while he was serving others. reckless and negligent driving does.

even if the road was icy, hundreds of vehicles safely navigated the seward highway that day. the few that crashed were going too fast for the conditions. that’s why they slid. it’s called physics.

too bad Rob couldn’t have the long life that jack and nancy are blessed with. his remains are resting at his 24 year old son’s home.

Rob was a wonderful person always helping others. We worked together on the girdwood fire dept and at alyeska ski patrol.he was a great guy.

Steve, Please share with us where/how you found this “obvious” information. All the information indicates that this was an unfortunate, tragic accident. Unless you were there and witnessed the accident, you should keep your speculation to yourself.

At some point we need to start requiring medical checks for drivers licenses. It naturally occurs while aging that reaction times are slowed, and at some point Elderly drivers need to drive no more. Robert was at work, and obviously killed by a motorist driving too fast and/or not paying enough attention.

A sad day for Roberts Family and Friends.

The Explorer had hit the guard rail for a reason…likely the same conditions that caused the Sadusky’s to lose control. Glad to hear they are recuperating.

great comment Alicia for not jumping to conclusions. The Sadusky’s are some of the safest drivers on the planet. It probably could have happened to any of us.

Jumping to conclusion is just as dangerous as bad driving! That area already had an accident, that’s why the Rob had stopped. It is possible the accident was due to road conditions and not driver error.

How tragic. I know it’s hard for many elderly people to think about giving up some of their independence, but accidents like this are a reminder that many people reach an age where they are simply too old to drive.

I just received news that both Jack and Nancy are OK! Shaken and bruised, but out of the hospital and resting at their son’s home.
