For non-profit organizations in Seward or Moose Pass, Seward Community Foundation (SCF) “mini-grants” of up to $500 can help meet special opportunities or needs that arise during the year, after the Foundation’s annual grant deadline has passed. These small grants can cover equipment, supplies, and other costs for programs and projects that benefit local residents. Funding decisions are made during monthly meetings of the SCF Advisory Board, and non-profits are encouraged to apply early in the month for the quickest response time.
The SCF recently updated its guidelines and application form for mini-grants, and the new form can be downloaded at http://www.alaskacf.org/Portals/0/Uploads/Documents/SCF/SCF%20Mini-Grant%20App-2012%20Revision.pdf.
The Seward Community Foundation is an affiliate of the Alaska Community Foundation, and is locally advised by a group of citizens who are attuned to the changing needs and goals of Seward and Moose Pass non-profit groups.
