If you have Medicare Part A , Part B, or both, you are eligible to have Medicare Part D, which is prescription drug insurance. Every year you can enroll in or change your Part D plan from October 15th – December 7th by calling the Seward Senior Center for an appointment, available five days a week. Call 224-5604 to speak to a Medicare counselor. You can also go online to www.medicare.gov and review your existing plan or sign up for a new plan, which will begin January 1, 2013. You might even be eligible for the State of Alaska to pay for your premiums, copays and deductibles if your income is under $1,746.25 per month.
