RAINFALL CONTINUED TO FALL IN WESTERN PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND THROUGH
SUNDAY AFTERNOON WITH WHITTIER RECEIVING 4.5 INCHES AND LOCATIONS
AROUND SEWARD RECEIVING MORE THAN 2 INCHES. THE RESURRECTION RIVER
HOWEVER HAS FALLEN MORE THAN 2 FEET SINCE SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND WAS

AT 16.8 FEET SUNDAY EVENING. INTO THE HEADWATER AREA OF THE KENAI
RIVER…THE SNOW RIVER HAS LEVELED OUT AND IS EXPECTED TO FALL OVER
THE NEXT 24 HOURS. RIVERS ON LAKE SYSTEMS ARE STILL RISING WITH THE
TRAIL RIVER AT LAWING RISING MORE THAN A FOOT SINCE SATURDAY
AND THE KENAI RIVER AT COOPER LANDING RISING ALMOST 1 FOOT. LEVELS
ON THE UPPER KENAI WILL CONTINUE TO RISE SLOWLY AT COOPER LANDING
AND ARE EXPECTED TO CREST AT ABOUT 16 FEET IN THE NEXT 48 HOURS.

EXPECTED IMPACTS:
PRIMROSE ROAD AT THE HEAD OF KENAI LAKE IS AFFECTED BY FLOOD WATERS
ON KENAI LAKE. AT 13.0 FEET THE END OF THE ROAD NEAR THE CAMPGROUND
MAY BE IMPASSABLE BY SMALL VEHICLES. SOME STRUCTURES MAY BE AFFECTED
WHEN WATER LEVELS EXCEED 14.2 FEET.

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN REPORTED.
STREAM RISES WILL BE SLOW AND FLASH FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED.
HOWEVER…ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SHOULD TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS
IMMEDIATELY.
