Subject:Seward Area Subdivisions Asked to Prepare Residents in the Questa Woods Subdivision and surrounding areas are asked to prepare for a possible evacuation as weather conditions may change.
Continue to listen to area radio or television stations for the evacuation alerts. Anyone needing non-emergency assistance should contact the Borough EOC Public Information Office at 714-2484.
Be prepared now: pack essential items such as prescription medicines, essential personnelrecords, extra clothing, hygiene supplies, flashlight with extra batteries, specialty snacks and juices for those with dietary restrictions, baby supplies, extra clothing.Road crews continue to work on stabilizing levees and diverting high water in several areas.Stay clear of road crews working in roadways and bridges. Avoid driving or walking in areas thatare flooding. Most cars can be swept away by less than two feet of moving water.
