2009/10 SIFA sister-city update – Hannah Beutler, Maggie Herbert, Jed Wilde were chosen for the high school summer exchange last year. However, the City of Obihiro canceled all exchanges last summer due to concerns about the H1N1 flu. Hannah, Maggie & Jed will travel to Obihiro this summer instead.

Election of Officers – Dale Hoogland – anyone interested in serving as an officer or committee member please either come to the meeting or e-mail your interest
Treasurer’s report – Phyllis Shoemaker
Membership report – Lynn Hohl

SIFA bylaws (1985 bylaws attached)
SIFA records retention (volunteer needed to scan SIFA records in the city clerk’s office)
SIFA participation in 2010 program (fundraising, gaming permit, housing, activities)
SIFA high school scholarship(s)
Obihiro mural project for 2012
Library-Museum Commiittee Representative (display, cataloguing & retention of Obihiro gifts, photographs, etc)
Seward High permanent display cabinet (Kawabe donation)
Seward High world map (visual display of all Seward sister-cities & cities which have hosted Seward students or have sent students to Seward)
