*2.  Resolution 2009-120, Supporting The Alaska Coastal Communities Global Climate Change Compact.

*3.  Resolution 2009-121, Authorizing The City Manager To Enter Into A Purchase Agreement for 30,000 Feet Of 1/0, 15KV Primary Wire For A Total Amount Not To Exceed $59,850.00.

4.  Resolution 2009-122, Authorizing The City Manager To Enter Into An Agreement With URS Corporation (URS) For Change Order #7 To The East Harbor Expansion Contract For An Amount Not-To-Exceed $72,041.22 And Appropriating Funds For Engineering, Design And Permitting Services For A Northeast Harbor Uplands Development Plan In The Seward Small Boat Harbor.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Seward City Council will conduct a public hearing on the following items of business at its regular meeting of November 9, 2009.

PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPEAL HEARING

November 9, 2009

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Seward City Council will conduct an appeal hearing on the following item of business at a meeting on Monday, November 9, 2009.

Appeal by NVision Architecture of an Administrative decision by the Fire Department on how occupant loads are interpreted when installing horn/strobe fire alarm systems throughout new or existing construction.

The appeal hearing will commence at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as business permits, in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 410 Adams Street, Seward.  All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting, and the Administration or any interested party may submit written rebuttal to the appeal no later than 12:00 noon, Tuesday, November 3, 2009 to the City Clerk’s Office, PO Box 167, Seward, AK 99664, or e-mailed to clerk@cityofseward.net.

NOTICE OF VACANCY ON THE KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH PLANNING COMMISSION

The Seward City Council is seeking citizens interested in filling the Seward seat on the Borough Planning Commission.  Interested parties can fill out a letter of interest to the city clerk by 12:00 p.m. by November 9, 2009.  At their regular meeting on November 9, 2009 beginning at 7:00 p.m., Council will select applicants to recommend to the Kenai Peninsula Borough Mayor.  Candidates must be qualified voters of the borough, who reside within the City of Seward.
